Wschód Kultury – Inne Brzmienia to jedno z najbardziej inspirujących wydarzeń muzycznych w Polsce oraz unikatowe spotkanie różnych gatunków, stylów i harmonii. To tu gwiazdy światowej alternatywy dzielą scenę z młodymi talentami zza naszej wschodniej granicy, a mistrzowie i prekursorzy kluczowych dla rozwoju muzyki gatunków spotykają się z pionierami nowych nisz i poszukiwaczami oryginalnych brzmień. Wszystko to wpływa na niepowtarzalną tożsamość wydarzenia i jego jedyny w swoim rodzaju klimat. Do tej pory na scenach Innych Brzmień wystąpili m.in. tacy artyści jak Einstürzende Neubauten, Ministry, UK Subs, Tortoise, The Herbaliser, Tuxedomoon, Juno Reactor, Nouvelle Vague, Goldfrapp, Tony Allen, Mulatu Astatke, Lee „Scratch” Perry, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Asian Dub Foundation, Yat-Kha, The Tiger Lillies. Kogo usłyszymy w tym roku? Pierwsze informacje już niebawem!

Inne Brzmienia to nie tylko muzyka. Festiwalowi towarzyszy cykl debat, a także warsztaty, wystawy, pokazy filmowe oraz specjalny program „Małe Inne Brzmienia” przygotowany dla dzieci. Nie bez powodu w nazwie festiwalu zawarta jest idea „wschodu kultury”, która sprowadza do Lublina najciekawszych artystów m.in. z takich krajów, jak Ukraina, Białoruś, Gruzja czy Armenia, ułatwiając tym samym odbiorcom z całego świata dostęp do wspaniałej muzyki, którą na co dzień trudno samodzielnie odnaleźć.

Wschód Kultury to projekt realizowany przez Narodowe Centrum Kultury ze środków Ministerstwa Kultury i Dziedzictwa Narodowego we współpracy z samorządami Rzeszowa, Lublina i Białegostoku. Celem projektu jest integracja środowisk twórczych z Polski i krajów Partnerstwa Wschodniego.

East of Culture–Different Sounds is one of the most inspiring music events in Poland and a unique meeting point of different genres, styles and harmonies. International stars of alternative music share the stage with young talents from Eastern Europe and the masters and pioneers of music genres meet pioneers of new niches and seekers of original sounds. All this contributes to the uniqueness of the event and its one-of-a-kind atmosphere. So far, Different Sounds festival has welcomed such household names as: Einstürzende Neubauten, Ministry, UK Subs, Tortoise, The Herbaliser, Tuxedomoon, Juno Reactor, Nouvelle Vague, Goldfrapp, Tony Allen, Mulatu Astatke, Lee “Scratch” Perry, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Asian Dub Foundation, Yat-Kha, The Tiger Lilies. Who shall we meet this year? Announcements are coming soon! Different Sounds are more than just music. The festival includes a series of debates and workshops, exhibitions, film screenings, and a special programme for children called “Little Different Sounds”. “East of Culture” written into the name of the festival draws to Lublin the most interesting artists from such countries as Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia or Armenia and makes it easier for music fans from all over the world to access wonderful music which is otherwise difficult to find.

East of Culture is a project carried out by the National Centre for Culture and the local governments in Rzeszów, Lublin and Białystok, co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The project integrates creative groups from Poland and the Eastern Partnership countries.
